The river rises in Fargo North Dakota, and everyone evacuates. Many volunteers help build walls in preparation for the worst. I think the river will start to reseed by tomorrow evening and the worst will be over and done with. My question is, If this happens all the time, why not widen the river, deepen it, or even build sewers that can handle overflow? I purposed an idea to the White house over thirty years ago. A grid system criss crossing across America. An under water pipeline that would be able to be channeled to anywhere on the grid via a control center. They would be able to open and shut valves directing water anywhere. You have fires, channel the water there. You can irrigate farms that need water, or do whatever you need to do with the water. Now we have a flooding city and if this pipeline was in place, the water would have had somewhere to go. They called me nuts and maybe so but it makes sense to me.
